I am an international student from China who is attending this school in 9th grade. Some teacher in this school like all students and are very responsible. However, I can feel clearly that some teachers show favoritism. Such as one of the art teachers and one of the dorm counselors.

This school also has ridiculous rules. Such as we boys are not supposed to pee in the toilet in the dorm and we are not allowed to carry the computers the school gave us outside of a bag, which can fold into a tablet. Also, I heard someone got a major for playing on the slope under the pavement, lol.

Seniors hold more privilege than anybody else. For instance, they are permitted to enter the dining hall first whenever they arrive at it and it does not matter how many people are waiting in line.

In addition, going to chapel and a certain sports match is mandatory for every boarding student. The former would waste us around 30 minutes, the letter would waste us 2-6 hours.

My school has a beautiful view of the mountains, but has too large of a campus. My friends and I can barely walk from the gym to the academic building without running out of breath. The lunchroom is also very far away from the academic building. I feel like I have already worked off everything I ate at lunch once I've made it to the academic building. Some people, like I, have a weight room class every day so they have to walk to the gym, then the academic building, then to the lunchroom. During the day, an average student walks probably over 3 miles. In my opinion, students would focus and learn better if they were not so tired when they get to class.
Tallulah Falls School is a school with a warm and family-like atmosphere. The faculty provides tough and stimulating work for their students, but also provide one on one help and encouragement. There is a lot of homework given, though, this has helped me as an individual to become more disciplined and focused. Tallulah Falls definitely does its job as a college preparatory school. I feel ready to face the world and find myself because I know that through Tallula Falls I have become a determined and findividual thinker.
