I went to Tall Oaks from first grade to twelfth grade and graduated in May of 2016. I enjoyed every moment of my challenging, Christ-centered education. My relationships with my teachers influenced my work ethic and my motivation to do well. I love Tall Oaks, because it challenged my thinking, encouraged me to be strong in my faith and allowed me to grow into the person I am today. I am excited for the future of Tall Oaks, and I hope to see it grow, so that so many other families may also benefit from its great work.
Review Tall Oaks Classical School
The teaching staff at Tall Oaks is extraordinary, not only on paper (as nearly 70% of the staff have post secondary and doctoral degrees), but in practice. The men and women who teach at Tall Oaks take seriously their calling to educate young minds/souls. In the younger grades in particular, the teachers present material to their students in multiple ways in order to reach the variety of learners in their classes - auditory, visual, kinesthetic, etc. In the upper grades, the teaching style becomes more Socratic.
Our older children have graduated from Tall Oaks and our younger ones are still enrolled at Tall Oaks. The one distinctive that sets Tall Oaks apart from others (besides the classical Trivium) is its culture and strong sense of community. There is no way to describe the depth of the close-knit, encouraging community that is the center piece of this excellent little school.
