Talkington prides in academics and making sure that all students succeed in academics. Talkington is also a small class school which makes teacher to student ration higher and allows for better connections made with the teachers and students. Some change that I would like the see made is the importance and resource of sports. Talkington does not have many sports because they are mainly academics based but sports can be helpful and an outlet for some students. Same with the music and arts which I feel is slightly neglected. Finally, admin can seem to be strict on some small aspects but give little care to more important matters. Overall though I feel that Talkington is wonderful with a kind atmosphere and stong sisterhood.

First I want to say that Talkington as a whole, is a community that empowers and uplifts its peers, I couldn't see myself or even define myself without my friends that I have made here, couldn't define myself without the treacherous work that I endured each year, or most importantly I could not define my life without the beautiful staff that consistently wants us to succeed. Second I want to establish that although the work is tremendously hard at times, it is all worth it in the end. I've witnessed time and time again how much the school work has impacted the alumni that have graduated and soon to impact me as I go off to college. And third, Talkington has been a gift to my life as a whole, not only do they help my family save money, but they also provided a confidence that I was able to obtain throughout my years, when I know for a fact if I didn't come here, that confidence would've been buried and sealed far away from my presence. I can never thank my Talkington community enough.
Talkington has given me many opportunities through middle school and seems to be doing the same in my journey of becoming a freshman. One of my favorite qualities of this school is definitely the people there. The atmosphere the teachers, staff, and classmates have created has allowed me to push for greatness in my years of attending. One improvement I would like to see would be the amount of extra curricular activities. Being more involved in the school would make me feel even more confident in my next years of attendance at Talkington
