My experience at Tahquitz High was amazing. The teachers are very helpful and are always there for me. The counselors are awesome. The counselors at this campus are very helpful with the academics and mental health of students. There are various clubs at this school. Teachers are there after school to help students who are not doing so well academically. The school is now also providing an opportunity for students to earn college credit. The program is called the Dual Enrollment program. This program is held after school. Talking about safety, there are staff at the entrance gate and basically every gate actually. The staff is constantly roaming around the campus, making sure everything is alright and there are no fights.

Tahquitz high school made my four years full of excitement and gave me tons of opportunities to expand my learning. All the teachers that encountered from ninth grade to my senior year were all very supportive and making sure that I was passing every other week. I was also in the AVID program which allowed me to dig in and get a greater understanding about college and life overall. I really encourage people to take AVID, especially if you are unsure about college.
I like most of the teachers and staff, for the most part they are all friendly and want to see you exceed. I wish I could change lunch and to food they would serve us. They stopped serving salad as a main entree and would only sell us water certain days of the week! They had AP and Duel Enrollment classes but didn't see to put a big emphasis on academics. No one seems to know of the honor court (top 20 students in the junior year) and it should be made a big deal! It seems like the councilors and administration don't expect the students to aim high so they don't prepare them to.
