SAS is a pretty average school. It's filled with both faults and potential. There are many problems with punishments for students when they act out. This leads to lots of disrespect to teachers. There aren't a lot of club options for students and there are less opportunities for students to explore passions. The robotics and band team are decently funded, but the drama club has been completely disbanded. I've been at the school since 7th grade and there can be fun things to do when the school's higher ups allow it. My Turkish teacher took some of us on a trip to Disney which was wild, but now he can't do that. Since the school never sponsored the trip the students had to pay from pocket to go, which dissuaded many from going due to the price. The students also seem to have an air of apathy to them due to how the school spends it's money. Events planned always seem underwhelming so students end up not going. All in all it's an OK school. It could be better, but it's not the worst.

The classes are good and you can learn if you try and it’s really diverse. However, it might be a culture shock if didn’t grow up around different cultures. The majority is African American but there are plenty other like Hispanics, and Middle Easterns
I loved the way the teachers cared for every one of their students. Even the ones who gave them a hard time. The staff is amazing and helped me get through high school there. I would like to see more parent involvement and better tasting food. Another important thing that is a problem among other high schools as well that I noticed was a little bullying, not as much as other places but it still isn't right. Other than that SASCS is good high school.
