I love Sweet Water High School. They are like a family to me. Every teacher cares about the preparedness of the student before sending them to college. The administration is caring and will help anyone with anything. The students also want the best for their classmates. The facilities could use a little updating, but the academics are the best around. Students are very prepared for college when they graduate. If a student does not wish to go to college, the teachers and administrators ready them for the work force. Either way, students are always prepared. The food is not that great.

Sweet Water High School is one of the best schools to send a student. And when it comes to education, the teachers are really there to coach you! The teachers are open to discussion and help you with whatever you need. Tutoring sessions are held after school on Tuesdays and Thursdays every week. Not to mention that these sessions are free and are taught by students that have excelled in that specific area. Education is a large part of this school. With dual enrollment classes, you can receive college credentials while in high school. These include English 101&102, Career Tech and Math.

Sweet Water is home to many different extra-curricular programs. We offer programs such as: band, cheer leading, drama club, robotics, IMPACT and Student Government. For you sports lovers, Sweet Water has a tradition of excellence! Sweet Water offers: football, track and field, volleyball, softball, baseball and baseball.
My experience at Sweet Water High School has been a great one. Being a student in the 11th grade, I feel as though I have been prepared for my future. I am taking college courses to gain college credits, and my school does a great amount of ACT work. We take practice tests, and have review weeks. The faculty and staff of SWHS are phenomenal and care about my future. They want to see me succeed, and are willing to do whatever it takes to help me reach my goals. A perk of being at a school in a small town is that the teachers have time to get to know you. They also care about you like family. They take the time to not only help you with schoolwork, but to check in on you and see if you’re doing okay. My teachers make sure I am familiar with the coursework before moving on. My school also has many different organizations. I’m glad to be apart of my school’s family.
