I liked Swartz Creek High school because of the diversity being close to a major city like Flint made me more open minded and accepting to other cultures which was an amazing tool once I started attending college. Being around those diverse cultures and races really allowed me to make friends easier and limit the culture shock of being in a college enviroment. The teachers really have a passion for giving a quality education and the community really recognizes that and rallies behind those committed individuals. The teachers and sports are what I enjoyed the absoulte most. Having the opportunity to try whatever sport I wanted was amazing. The teachers really prepare you for college and teach important life skills aside from the everyday lecture and material.
Being on swim team was the most memorable thing to me about being a student of SCHS, the school wasn't the greatest, most of the students were self-absorbed, stuck up snobs who had probably never had to actually struggle to fit in, or deal with being made fun of due to a physical disability, but the science teachers were great! I the opportunity to create a lifelong bond with someone truly exceptional, my biology teacher, also my swim coach and a real friend in my eyes. I owe every great memory I have from my time at SCHS to Mrs. Carrie Church formerly known as (Coach Carrie Thomas), without her support, acceptance, and help, I would have never truly felt I belonged. She made my last 3 years of high school something worth remembering.
I just transferred to Swartz Creek High School this year, My junior year. Swartz Creek was my first public school I went to since 5th grade and I was so nervous on my first day. The people here are very welcoming and it was very easy to find friends and people with common interests. The teachers here have helped me a lot my first year and I am very satisfied with how well the teachers handle situations.
