Surry Central High School Reviews
Rating 3.54 out of 5 84 reviews
Surry Central High School is a good high school. Since we all live in the same small, rual community, it feels like a family. Teachers at Surry Central are very helpful and want you to succeed. Class sizes are small, which helps teachers and students to have a more direct and personal relationship. Overall I am glad I attended Surry Central High School.
My favorite thing about Surry Central was the AFJROTC program. This program helped me grow as a student, person, and leader. If there was one thing I would change it would be to get more students involved in different clubs/ honor societies. Most freshman do not join anything their first year because they either don't know about it or they are scared. Since they don't join their first year they won't join any other year because it's "to time consuming" or "not fun" more clubs should show that they offer any student at any time.
I like how the staff actually cares about you. They see you yourself and not just another student. One thing that needs to change is the freshman need to be shown the rules. They are ruining the things we take advantage of and actually use like smart lunch. They also need to show the freshman that is not good just to do whatever they want. They can't leave whenever they want. There is rules for a reason and they need to follow the rules. The upperclassmen are getting mad because we actually do what we are supposed and the freshman are getting things took from us.
