Sunny slope High school has granted me with a unique experience. Overall, I would rate this school a 7/10 (for 1 being the worst score possible, and 10 being the best score possible). Most all of the teachers I've encountered have been professional, and understand the material they are teaching. However, the administration could use some further development. The attendance office can be quite brash, and rude. Also, the school as a whole is in need of some major renovations! The hallways in between classes are too narrow, and the campus size cannot accommodate for the ever growing school population.

I love how diverse the student body is. Specifically, student council. I personally, am in it and love it so much! I have developed leadership skills and become more outgoing! But student council is not the only exciting "club" there is! There are so many other great ones such as Key Club which although the name may be misleading, their focus is on community service. Plus, the teachers are awesome! Every single one will make extra time to help you out on something you are struggling on. There is this "Viking Center" we have which is open from 6 am until 8 am, open during lunch, and then open again right after school until 4 pm! What I would say needs improvement though is the dress code; it's ridiculous. Also, how severe administration takes things which are harmless or non disruptive.
Overall, my experiences with teachers and staff were positive; I made some wonderful connections with my mentors and learned a lot from them. The advanced courses offered, including AP and honors classes, are great and earned me a lot of AP credit. School administration is dynamic and listened to my suggestions and requests when I had them. Diverse student body with an overall good attitude. I wouldn't choose to go anywhere else!
