I really enjoy my experience with my school because they’re so welcoming and energetic, especially towards introducing new-coming students into our school. One thing about Sunnyside is that they will always find some way to include everyone and make them feel seen. They treat us as one big Wildcat Family! We have pathways such as Video Production Academy, Teacher’s Academy, Doctor’s Academy, Criminal and Behavioral Sciences, AVID, Agriculture, and Multimedia. We also have several clubs and sports to give students their spot to feel included into our school, as well as Link Crew for welcoming students. Sunnyside is such an encouraging environment towards their students because they won’t let us fail so easily but persistently remind us to stay on top of our work. I will admit it can be discouraging if its constantly repeated, but they do it out of care for us. They also reward us greatly with things such as prizes from raffles, rallies, assemblies, Wildcat Cafe, and good grades!
Sunnyside High School became a second home filled with my second family of close friends that I consider the dearest and most important people. My time there has been enjoyable and I treasure every moment that I have remaining because of the amazing and supportive teachers that I have encountered, they’re the biggest contributor to the school’s atmosphere and students, encouraging for interaction and activities.
Hey, my name is Amandeep Uppal. I am currently attending Sunnyside High School as a senior. Sunnyside High is a great school, it feels like home. There is a lot of diversity here, you get to meet awesome teachers, loving counselors, and join clubs. The school staff walks with you every step of the way, so you don’t feel alone. The spirit here is strong. This school encourages you to work hard and strive for more. I am proud to call myself a Wildcat. Once A Wildcat, Always A Wildcat!
