Sunny Hills High School Reviews
Rating 3.89 out of 5 624 reviews
The academics and extracurriculars offered there are really quite fantastic. Sunny Hills has a plethora of AP and Honors classes to choose from, as well as a rigorous IB program. There are a wide variety of clubs there, from cultural clubs (such as KCC, Mana, ISA, and Bayanihan) to civic engagement clubs (like Key Club, Link Crew, and MUN) and even academic competition clubs (Science Olympiad, CyberPatriot, and OCAD).
The BEST part about Sunny, by far, is the annual International Food Fair. In the spring, the school hosts a festival with hundreds of tables for students to exchange food for tickets at, and these foods represent the cultures of countries around the world! There's also the IFF assembly, in which all the aforementioned cultural clubs get to perform cultural dances and share their significance with the rest of the school.
As for the worst part of Sunny, I'd probably say it's the cliques that can form there. If you don't fall into a friend group fast, it's hard to fit in.

Great school, just completed my four years this year. Very safe and all of the students are intelligent and top-class. There's a ton of diversity with people from all different types of backgrounds. Every single teacher (at least the ones I had) taught really well and clearly had expertise in the subject. This school accommodated for students perfectly during the COVID-19/online school year, providing students with many, many resources. Overall, this is easily one of the best schools in the Orange County area and I'll miss this school!
I have felt supported since my freshman year of high school, even throughout Zoom classes. There are a lot of school spirit and engaging events planned by ASB such as Homecoming dances, exciting assemblies, and quad events. There is always an event to go to, with low prices. In addition, academics are excellent here with supportive teachers. I firmly believe my teachers are here to guide me, and not just for me to earn a grade and move on. My guidance counselor has guided me through the college admissions process thoroughly and I have had much support through the AVID program. I have lots of freedom to decide which courses I want to take and get to pursue Anatomy courses which is what I find most interesting. Overall, this school has set me up for success.
