Sunlake is full of so many opportunities, activities, and resources. I came here my Sophomore year and found that it was so easy to make friends! I joined the Cross Country and Track team as well as a few other clubs and involved myself Sunlake's spirited and exciting culture. Teachers are easygoing and fun to get along with but still prepare us for college and life beyond high school extremely well! The staff are also very supportive. Having gone through my fair share of depression and anxiety, I found great support in the counseling and teaching staff that helped me pull through and push on. I have completely absorbed myself in my studies as well as my running and I am proud to say that I will be attending the University of Florida in the summer of 2020 on an athletic scholarship and will continue my growth there! I owe all this to Sunlake High School! It really is great to be a Sunlake Seahawk!

I have attended sunlake high school for 3 years and I truly have poured my heart out into the school. I am class president, class representative of key club, a member of best buddies, biology club, corn hole club, and Hawkeye (school spirit) club. Over each club has offered me more and more incite into who I truly am. I also am a starting defender on the lacrosse team and the athletics at sunlake are phenomenal. I truly recommend your child attending sunlake! Go Seahawks :)
Staff is very friendly. School has been a very safe place, well maintained, clean buildings and classrooms. It is impressive that the Staff seems to know most of the students even though it is a large school.
College prep is lacking. Guidance counselors might as well not exist as they only have one per grade. It can take months for a student to get an appointment. More SAT and ACT prep is desperately needed to help students compete in the college market.
Administrators are good, but there should be some way for parents to evaluate teachers. Some teachers are great. Some need improvement.
Overall, a pretty good experience.
