My overall experience of this school has been okay. They're is a lot of things i would like to change such as starting up clubs and getting student involved more than just staying at school for couple hours a day. Also having the building/outside updated because the entire school trees, benches, and etc. Although it has it problems, i would choose to go to this school again for the many oppurtunities it has such as being able to graduate early (which i'm doing) or if you missed school instead of getting a get you can get your diploma they're because they offer credit recovery. This school is so unique compared to other schools and really caters to the students providing more options than regular schools.

The teachers at my school are involved in the students' lives a lot. Its important for them to be, because of they way independent study works... They hand you the work for a week; you complete it and go to school once a day for them to grade it. They do try to help you get your credits. The main concern for me and many others is that they don't teach you the material.. in my opinion they're more of a guidance counselor than teachers, but the environment is friendly. Many teachers are constantly grading and communicating with students on how to achieve.
My school offers different courses at my school depending whether you are behind or not. the scheduling process is like i said before one day out of the week i go get home work from two courses i'm taking. and come back next week on the same day and return my work and take a test regarding what i have learned. the curriculum is pretty simple i have a thick packet with all semester 1 work that i can do and i do 1 chapter at a time. or i can continue to go ahead depending on if i finished a chapter and if i'm ready to move on to the next all depends on the person. the workload is a lot especially if you don't understand something you have to go in and try to find someone to help... but anyways yes the workload is a lot and you are supposed to be able to figure out yourself how to make sure you do it all correct and have it done in time. for me i like to make my own study guide so that way i can review.
