I liked how small the school was and how nice the people were. The teachers put in a lot more effort and the students were kind and inviting. It doesn't have a whole lot of options and because it's such a small school theres not much money in the budget but they have a lot of nice things anyway. They are a college prep school so they prepare you very well for college, the graduation requirements are a bit higher than other schools. They also have many athletic options including football, baseball, basketball, softball, cheer, golf, swimming, soccer, lacrosse and many others. The school is located in Bluffdale with not much around it but it's a good school to go to.

Overall, we've been very pleased with our child's education and development of good quality character and well-roundedness. Most teachers are highly proficient and dedicated, with the exception of the math department. Our child earned a 32 on the ACT composite in 2016, and he earned a perfect score on the ACT essay. I attribute much of that success to great English and History teachers plus a stellar debate team, which has won state the last two years. Our child also earned a 4 on the AP Bio test and the AP English Lit test. One other thought: the campus has a warm, wholesome environment with lots of mutual respect. Sometimes I go on campus and feel like I'm in a scene from a 50's movie. That's a good thing!
I went to a large public high school and, after being dissatisfied with the level of education I was receiving, decided to transfer to Summit Academy High School. It has been one of the best decisions of my life. Each teacher is dedicated to every individual's student success in high school and what they want to pursue afterwards. I was able to participate in two different sports as well as an academic club perfectly suited to my future career interests. It is safe to say I would not be where I am today without the teachers, staff, and coaches of this school.
