Suffield High School is a great school in the area. There is instability within the upper administration, however the future looks promising. There are many great programs, especially the Agriscience program which offers a wonderful experience. The drama club and athletic clubs are also well-developed. The school also offers many AP courses.

As a student in only honors and AP classes, I find Suffield's academics intellectually stimulating and rigorous enough to challenge me. However, friends who are in mostly regular classes have told me that in these classes, the teachers do not help each student individually as much as necessary. They are mostly composed of students who struggle with the material and those who do not try their hardest. The students who are willing to put in effort are often ignored as teachers focus on students who should have stayed back to retake the course. Additionally, multiple teachers have mentioned being forced to pass students who earned a failing grade and should not have passed the course.

However, the majority of the teachers whom I have worked with seem to genuinely care about my education and want all of their students to succeed. They are willing to help any student who is willing to put effort into his or her work, whether by staying after school or giving them extra review materials.
I have had a positive experience at Suffield High School. I had some great teachers and felt my opinions and ideas were valued. This is a unique school, we are a small superb tucked away from many problems the bigger cities face. Most people know or at least recognize each other. This is a welcoming town and the schools have the same atmosphere. The guidance counselors here get to know each and every one of their students and if a student has an issue it is addressed quickly. Suffield was defiantly a great place to grow up and attend quality schools!
