We have three sons attending Suffield Academy. At least once a week, I find myself thinking about how impressed I am with the school's rigorous curriculum, the caring and dedicated teachers, the encouraging coaches, and the professional and kind administrators. I also am extremely grateful to Suffield Academy for helping my sons develop and blossom into fine young men. I believe this is due in part from the school's strong community and family environment, their choice of hiring positive role models as teachers, and their commitment to the students. My children look forward to going to school, even on Saturdays!
Review Suffield Academy
Our daughter attended Suffield Academy for 4 years. She flourished during her highschool years to become an outgoing, independent and curious young woman. She graduated knowing what she wanted out of life with a goal and a college in mind. She out performed most of her peers in college thanks to education and preparation she obtained at SA. It is not one thing that makes Suffield unique, it is combination of many things. Starting with Charlie Cahn as headmaster who is leading this institution with vision and purpose. It is the academic, the leadership program, the college counseling, the faculty, the arts, the athletics and the sense of community that makes Suffield Academy what it is. Best, one can describe Suffield is one word. Happy! All one needs to do is to look at faces of the young men and women who attend there and one would see happiness and sense of belongings! Thank you Charlie and the rest of the faculty and staff! Job well done.
I'm in my fourth year at Suffield and cannot have asked for a better high school experience! Suffield makes the transition from public education to private very fluid. Teachers are available 24/7 (and I truly mean 24/7) for students as resources. The entire structure of the school is designed to see students succeed and that can especially be seen in its college counseling program which begins freshman year so that by the time it comes to make a college list, it is not as daunting of a task as it might have otherwise been. I've been very fortunate to have had the privilege to attend Suffield Academy and every day I count my blessings to be here.
