I'm currently a student in the Cube program which is also called The School Of Business and I can honestly say that It is one of the best programs Stranahan has to offer. The opportunities are endless when it comes to Stranahan. From the clubs to the programs and to the staff, there's always something students of any ethnicity and background can benefit from. Stranahan is all about diversity. They have a club such as "Latinos In Action" to accommodate students of Hispanic descent which I think is absolutely amazing. The school isn't that big which makes classes super easy to find and if you're still having trouble with finding your class there is always a staff member or even students that'll guide you. I can't forget the amazing teachers that help us students succeed every day. It's almost impossible to fail if you're trying because our teachers sympathize with you and try to work with you according to your pace when they can. I'm proud to say I'm a dragon at Stranahan High School!
I love Stranahan High School. The educational system here provides many different options for the students to choose from according to their interests. The school has 3 magnet programs: Medical, Science and Pre-Engineering, and UTAP ( Teacher Academy ), as well as a business program known as the Cube. New magnet programs and electives are coming to the school next year. The school also offers a lot of advanced placement classes and some dual enrollment classes on campus for all students equally! This school also has a lot of extracurricular activities. For example, it has an engineering club known as SECME. SECME members participate in many competitions such as robotics competitions, TRAC bridge competitions, competitions for generators, water rockets, and mouse trap cars, and most importantly, Regatta ( boat building and racing ). Stranahan is not like any other school since it is not just a school, it's a home for all of the students who decide to join the family! Go Dragons!
My school helps ready me for my college experience, the teachers and staff really care for you and want you to be as prepared as ever to graduate and go on to an excellent college. One thing I would change would be the structure since it is very old, but when it comes to academics, clubs, sports, and events such as field trips, my school excels!
