Founded in 1960, Strake Jesuit College Preparatory prepares young men as leaders and Men for Others in the nearly 500-year-old tradition of the Society of Jesus. We are a community of students, parents, and teachers who come together to pursue rigorous education and personal growth.
Inspired by the teachings of St. Ignatius of Loyola, the Strake Jesuit student is open to growth, intellectually competent, physically fit, religious, loving, and committed to doing justice. The Jesuit graduate joins a brotherhood of faith and prepared to lead an adult Christian life in the 21st century.

My experience at Strake Jesuit College Preparatory has been great! The environment is perfect for any parent that wants their son to evolve into a goal-oriented young man. Strake Jesuit supplies students with all the tools needed to excel, such as: College and personal counselors, free periods and "community time" (An hour long period from 9am-10am everyday in which students can socialize, meet with teachers, go to club or athletic meetings, play sports, study, or more), the perfect balance of freedom and structure, and state of the art conditions.
Strake Jesuit's faculty is another upside to the school, as all members are kind hearted, smart individuals who strive to build good teacher-student relationships.
The community of Strake Jesuit is a unique one, bonding students from all paths of life. Through advisory periods and the general openness of the campus, new friendships (no matter how surprising) are made every day.

Strake Jesuit is the only school that I've attended in which you can be confident that the faculty is fully on your side. At this school, high school students have the opportunity to be taught by enthusiastic former NASA engineers, retired lawyers, and countless teachers with master's degrees and doctorates in their respective subjects. Any student who decides to pursue any extracurriculars has the opportunity to be coached by retired Marines and guided by personal trainers. Apart from the overqualified faculty, the school has a buzz that inspires anyone who sets foot on campus to be the fullest, most productive version of themselves in every facet of their life. The community of Strake Jesuit is less of a strict institution and more of a brotherhood with each student working together to bring the school to fruition. Although there are some less-than-stellar parts of the school like the low variety of classes or the cramped parking, it's my school, and I wouldn't change a thing.
Strake Jesuit College Prep is a Jesuit, college-preparatory school for boys, grades 9–12, in the Chinatown area and in the Greater Sharpstown district of Houston, Texas, United States. With over 1,200 students, it is the largest Catholic high school in Houston. Strake Jesuit’s mission is to assist young men in their formation as servant leaders and as Men for Others through a comprehensive program of intellectual, spiritual and moral development for the greater glory of God. Strake provides a wide variety of academic courses, electives, athletics, and volunteer opportunities. The teachers and proctors at Strake Jesuit care more for their students’ success rather than their salary and work hours.
