The experience that my family has had with StoneGate Christian Academy has been great. I love that the school has a strong focus on academics, while maintaining a Biblical worldview. We have also benefited from the small class sizes. My children have participated in sports, band, choir, and drama. They are confident and are comfortable building relationships with children of different ages and backgrounds.
My family has been a part of StoneGate Christian for 18 years - three children graduated and one to go! My older children went to college. They both shared how they realized they were educationally prepared when they entered college. My 3rd child tested so high for joining the military, he had his pick of career. My 4th child is excelling in his academics. StoneGate has always focused on the foundational basics of subjects, creating a firm educational foundation. StoneGate having a smaller enrollment, students are able to participate in as many extracurriculars as they desire. Once again, an advantage for a wide experience of music, drama, and sports. Teachers, staff, and students know each other - strengths and weaknesses - and work together. Upper grade-levels and lower grade-levels know each other by name. Teachers and staff are easily accessible for parents - working together for the well-being of the school and students. And above all, StoneGate is Christ-centered!
Having been a student at Stonegate, adjusting to college was much easier for me. I felt sorry for some of my friends in college who struggled to learn how to study and write papers.
Despite it's small size, our school is very competitive in sports and drama. I played volleyball for 6 years and thoroughly enjoyed it and their sports program is steadily increasing! I also participated heavily in drama. I as well as others have competed and even placed at state multiple, multiple times.
I can also thank Stonegate and the teachers there for my strong faith and love for God and His people. The faculty and staff are truly inspirational and have taught me to desire a relationship with God. They are still my spiritual mentors.
