Sterling High School was a great experience for me. I was very surprised with all of the extracurricular options considering the size of the school. The high school obtains around 150 students, which allows small class sizes. Smaller class sizes are beneficial to the students because it allows them to have better relationships with the teachers, therefore improving the overall education experience.

Sterling High is an amazing school. It has a wonderful learning environment. The teachers are all very kind to the students. They genuinely care about each student as if the students were their own flesh and blood. Sterling has one of the highest college readiness ratings of any rural High School. Almost every student succeeds in their course work. In order to fail, a student must be trying to fail. The teachers do everything that they can to help the students succeed, from academics to extra-curricular activities to life in general. An all around great place to go to school.
What I really like about Sterling High School is the teachers. They all care about more than just how much your learning or your grades, though they do care about those, they also care about you and they want to help you grow into a mature, responsible, successful adult. I also really like how all the sports, clubs, and activities focus on not only the mechanical aspects of the activity but also on growing character. Sterling High School is always trying to help students get ready for college with the resources that are available and the faculty that is always ready to help. Sterling High School is one of the best schools in Kansas, in my opinion, not because of the facility, but because of the faculty.
