I’m currently a senior at Sterling High School, overall my experience has been pleasant. They consist on having a discipline and scholar atmosphere, where students feel the need to succeed and become successful. The school provides many programs, such as working, clubs, food bank donations and many more. I love sterling because they have amazing teachers, office workers, staff etc. mostly communities in school staff members! Mrs. Gutierrez has been very attentive with me, HISD and communities in school came together to treat students, such as communicating as well providing them with essentials they might need. I was treated wonderful and also they help me sign up for a nurse internship at St. Luke, which I hope I get in! Overall I recommend everyone to attend.

I started High School at Sterling my junior year. Students asked to see my schedule and help me around once they noticed I was new and teachers greeted me well. I liked how counselors or people in the office asked me about things I've done at my old school what activities i were involved in, what subjects i am strong at, which classes are best to take in the morning. It was a newer building and also a aviation school so it had lots of things to catch my eye when i first arrived. I thought "It's my first year here I'll be here at lunch alone for awhile" but students came and joined me, the food wasn't bad I'm just a picky eater but overall it was nice. I am now a senior attending Sterling still and the college advisers are very helpful, head director of sports is helpful for college advise . I would never trade being a raider I love Sterling High School
My experience at Sterling has been amazing and very beneficial. I've been able to get approval to graduate early, become Valedictorian, and participate in many clubs as well as many leadership opportunities in school and in the community. The only thing I would say to change in Sterling is the rigor to get accecpted into the school because, Sterling offers great academic opportunites such as dual credit classes for associate degrees, welding certificates, and pilot licenses. So, children in middle school should have to be able to contribute more to our school versus Sterling accepting anyone.
