Sterling Elementary School Reviews

I have had children at Sterling Elementary for 7 years and will continue to for another 3. The teachers, staff, and admin are the heart of the school and they give their all. They are incredibly devoted. From 2019 Principal of the Year for Loudoun County, Ms. Scott, all the way down to the custodial team and lunch ladies.

Yes, the test scores aren't the best but test scores aren't everything and considering that many of the students enter the school with little to no English, it's completely understandable. In addition, many students are from lower income families. Together that makes it a Title 1 school. That might sound scary to middle class parents but that means more teachers and more resources. I have students in gifted education as well as a special education student, and all their needs have been more than met. I've been overall very happy and have not considered taking any of my kids anywhere else.

My sister had a lot of fun while she was there and I love how teachers are connected with students. I remember how everybody cries on the last day of the 5th graders. They create a really strong connection with everyone, I believe thats good because you get to know everybody in better way and its easy to work with them.
