Stephen F. Austin High School Reviews
Rating 3.8 out of 5 747 reviews
Most of the teachers are pretty good; however, there are still a few that can ruin a student's experience. Everyone here is still really happy, and there isn't much stress when in regards to competition or club activities. This school is still able to produce multiple MIT and Ivy league students per year, meaning that it is by no means a bad school either in terms of academics. The clubs here are amazing. This is such a diverse school with so many people from so many different backgrounds located in one of the most diverse counties in the nation; thus, this school comes with a lot f clubs and has an amazing school culture of collaboration. There are also amazing resources, STEM and fine arts programs, as well as an amazing community here, so I'm very happy to have gone here! Go bulldogs!
My first two years at Stephen F. Austin were challenging, but I persevered. Despite struggling to make friends and having to attend classes online during my second year, I managed to overcome these obstacles. However, my junior year turned out to be amazing! I made plenty of friends and had new experiences that I never knew were possible. I even joined a culinary class and met more friends from my school whom I am still close with to this day. And my senior year was the best one yet! I finally got to experience everything I had always dreamed of, and I savored every moment of it.
The diversity and cultural appreciation at Stephen F. Austin High School was astounding. There were so many different ethnicities and everyone felt like one big family. There was zero bullying amongst the students, and everyone was treated with kindness and respect. The school spirit made attending the school more fun, everyone would participate during Pep Rallies, and during Spirit Week, even the teacher would join in on the fun. The teachers at Austin High school were all amazing, they really cared about the students, and pushed for them to be better students and people. One thing I would like to see change is incorporating locker rooms for all the sports teams, not just volleyball and football players. Other than that, the experience was great, and the principle was stellar. He did some great things, like tighten up security, and boost school spirit in both students and staff.
