Step Academy was great to me! As a student there I felt very welcome. Although 90% of the students were of African decent, this school does a great job welcoming new students, whether they are of African decent or not. It is such a welcoming school with great vibes all around.
They focus too much on PSEO that they don't focus on the other aspects that a school needs. Good food, academics, sports, clubs, etc. They focus on pushing kids into PSEO, some kids shouldn't even be in PSEO, they don't need to be and it won't help them. There is virtually nothing else at that school except a PSEO factory.
During my eighth grade year, which was about four years ago, there was some sort of a student council for part of the year. There aren't any athletic teams, they have added some after school programs this year like cooking, yearbook, and book club. This school is developing very slowly and the fact that they get new teachers every year isn't helping!
