This educational institution places a significant focus on academic excellence; however, it exhibits limitations in extracurricular activities, sports, and non-academic pursuits. Moreover, the availability of field trips is notably limited. The institution frequently revises its curriculum for sophomore-level and higher courses, which can pose challenges in establishing mentorship relationships within the school community. In summary, while it is by no means an inadequate educational institution, prospective students should anticipate a comparatively lesser emphasis on recreational and non-academic activities compared to other institutions.
My experience with my school was not the best. For your first 2 years, you have virtually no say in what classes you take and are dealt with lots of coursework all at once. The classes are very fast-paced since they're all semester classes or A-Day, B-Day classes. For the next 2 years, you are still limited in choices but have more free reign since they are dual-enrollment classes. The management staff at this school are not the best by far. There is too little communication between staff and students. Also, any problems voiced to the management staff are often ignored. Many people's mental health went down the drain because of this school. However, there were positives to the school too. Most of the teachers are very skilled at their subjects, you get a variety of good classes to show off to colleges, and the low student body population allows for a tight-knit community. The school's upkeep is very good and could become a better school with some management changes.
STEM is a very enjoyable school! The people here are really kind and friendly. As a freshman, I feel comfortable as a student. The teachers are understanding, as well as challenging. Its a hard course, but it sure does pay off!
