Steller Secondary School Reviews
Rating 3.89 out of 5 35 reviews
I loved this school so much during my time there. I began there in 7th grade, and continued until senior year. The school gave me opportunities to use my voice, like hosting school-wide meetings to address an issue. I had the freedom to choose my classes (I still had to take my core credits) and I could have the option to adjust them to fit my needs. Everyone knows each other because of its small size, and that leads to a great support system within peer groups; sometimes, going to school with the same few kids can be hard, but it taught me how to adapt and work through relationships I viewed as important. Students and staff are extremely accepting students and their individuality, which helped me become more comfortable with myself during some of the most awkward years of my life. Steller isn’t for everybody, but those who use the school to its full potential can come out a stronger, independent person who can voice their opinions appropriately and with ease.
Steller gives students experience in being more independent in their education and learning from their mistakes. Feedback and support from teachers help the students learn and be more engaged at school. Steller is a small school, which means less opportunities for sports and languages. Many students take classes at different schools while still attending Steller. If somehow, Steller can add more staff or classes I think this will benefit the students.
It’s been a good experience I love almost all the staff. Some are a little controlling or don’t seem to care. Other then that they are great! The environment at steller is calm and relaxed. The kids are friendly. They also care about academics greatly.
