Steller gives students experience in being more independent in their education and learning from their mistakes. Feedback and support from teachers help the students learn and be more engaged at school. Steller is a small school, which means less opportunities for sports and languages. Many students take classes at different schools while still attending Steller. If somehow, Steller can add more staff or classes I think this will benefit the students.

Steller is a Self directed school where students can take charge in their education. It teaches you great leadership skills, communication, and how to build a great community. The teachers take time to get to know you and get to know your ways of learning.
Steller is a very small school. It has a total of 246 students, 7th-12th grade. because of this, the students and teachers are very close. As a seventh grader, I felt this when I was struggling in a seminar class I was taking. An upper classman actually set up a meeting during lunch where the younger kids could ask for help from any subject. The upperclassman graciously helped me until I was successful in the class. Whenever I passed her in the hall, she would checkup on me to see how I was doing, and if I needed anything, I could come to her. This is practically a regular experience for a "Stellerite," as a lot of my classmates have a similar story about a teacher or student who helped them in many valuable ways. And, as I've gotten older, I feel the closeness of my school when I help the younger students, my friends, or my teachers.
