My son started Steinbrenner as a junior. Everyone thought this would be a tough transition and that he would never feel at home at Steinbrenner. Nothing could be more wrong. He has met some amazing, intelligent and friendly students, joined a very successful sports team and has thrived in general at Steinbrenner. The students welcomed him immediately, his teachers have been impressive, tough and supportive. The coaches (XC) are phenominal, supportive and all in for their team. He has definitely been more challenged academically than at his previous high school. The guidance office/counselors are available and have assisted our college prep. The parents have also welcomed our family and we have developed great relationships in just a year at this school. Given the choice, I wish we would've made our way to Steinbrenner sooner!

I love how involved many of the faculty here is at Steinbrenner High School; most teachers seem to really care about their students and genuinely want them to succeed; it's probably why our test score averages are almost always higher than the county average. The guidance counselors and other office administration are very skilled at preparing the students for college. One thing, however, that I would like to see Steinbrenner High School improve more on is the attention they give to the arts versus the attention given to sports. While sports achievements are always highlighted, it seems that achievements of the arts such as band, orchestra, or even the school literary magazine, are sidelined and overshadowed.
I spent all four years at Steinbrenner, home of the warriors and I loved most of my time there. Steinbrenner is a very large high school and is usually way over capacity every year. This large student body leads to a lot of new ideas and plenty of school spirit. Even though we have a large student body our school isn't funded very well and if it is the students aren't seeing much of the money. Our foot ball helmets are becoming out dated, and they are our most supported sports team! Most the art programs find themselves using older equipment. The teachers at Steinbrenner are amazing, they all make the classes very enjoyable and truly want to help you succeed. The front office is always running around trying to get things done and with a little persistence they really will help you get what you need. Overall Steinbrenner is a great place to excel in what ever you would like to.
