As a senior, I think it's nearly impossible to go through State High and not have a favorite teacher. Much like students, every teacher has their own style which adds to the diversity among the student and staff population. There's a variety of flipped classrooms, hands-on activities, computer work, and real life learning going on in the classrooms and, on occasion, outside. However, there is a possibility of encountering a teacher that doesn't connect with the students. They don't interact, they don't put effort into expanding the student's education. These kind of teachers are rare, but still possible to come by at State High.
Review State College Area High School
Upon reflection at my time at SCAHS, the care and effort put into the education and resources for higher education preparation were impressively comprehensive and helpful. Its emphasis on the arts as well as sciences is a great opportunity that I feel very fortunate to have had. The lack of diversity is one main downside to this school, but an solid effort towards awareness of cultural diversity and sensitivity is made.
State High as a wide variety of courses offered. Sometimes it can be hard to fit all of the ones you want into your schedule, that would be my only complaint. However, they offer everything from Auto-shop, to pottery, to band, to early childhood education, to Calculus AB!

Most of the teachers are wonderful, and are there because they really care about the students.
