Starmount High School is well known for is sports, but not for it's academics. The schools student education average is a "C" and has only been decreasing each year. A majority of the students who play sports are the ones not upholding their grades, but because Starmount is known for their great sports the administration and coaches turn a blind eye in order for their "star" players to continue playing and winning their games. That's to be expected for a small town school who is only trying to get some form of recognition.
However, Starmount is also a small school compared to most. The teachers and students work together to achieve one goal: success. There is a stronger connection between a student and a teacher allowing greater benefits such as a great resume, connections, and nomination for awards.

It could use more money and resources. There is a lot of room for improvement, but they are doing the best they have with what they got. There is a lot of spirit for the school and lots of parent involvement. Sports gets a lot of attention over other things but it brings in money. People are caring and kind most of the time. Overall its a pretty-okay school. It just needs some help. It could use more money and resources. There is a lot of room for improvement, but they are doing the best they have with what they got. I liked my school because all of the teachers were kind and helpful. They truly wanted to their students to learn. If a student was having a hard time understanding the topic the teacher was discussing they would move on until we all got it which I thought was very thoughtful and cool. All of my classmates were genuine and we all got along. Something that I would like to see change is how they handle the college process. Personally I went through the college process on my own because my counselor wasn't very helpful but I ended up figuring it on my own.
