This is the BEST SCHOOL in the Plymouth-Canton area. Well at least in 1999-2000yr, I am not aware if anything has changed since then. This school was the best thing that had ever happened to me. I had always taken school as a joke and just a place to go meet friends pretty much. The teachers here actually care about the students and get to know you. When I started at this school I had felt like I knew nothing regarding any subjects we learn in high school. Due to the smaller class sizes teachers can actually take the extra time with a student to make sure they are fully understanding what is being taught. For myself personally that's what I needed, as when I attended Canton/Salem high school the teachers could not even take one extra second to attempt to explain it a different way so the students fully got it or you were either made out to be a moron that was just slow and they could not hold up the entire class because of one... Now at Starkweather they knew if one student was questioning something then there was probably others that didn't understand it either but just to scared to own up to it in front of the entire class. I am so thankful I had switched over to Starkweather from the main high school if not I would've graduated knowing absolutely nothing nor would I have wanted to further my education from the bad experience I had received at Canton high school. I highly recommend Starkweather if you truly want to receive an actual education. Also you must really want it because you have 100% freedom here as no one chases you down or makes you do anything you do not want to do. Your diploma from here will actually have meaning and not just be a piece of paper.

Starkweather has a bad rep for being a school for bad kids but it's not like that. We're one big family. We all just needed a second chance and starkweather gives us that.
All teachers were great but Mrs.Abraham was the very best of all, that taught Math and anyone who received her as a teacher was VERY LUCKY. She went above and beyond and to bad we dont have more teachers like her
