With the support of the entire community, STAR Prep Academy made a seamless transfer to full-day online classes since March 2020, with near perfect attendance. They maintained their parent coffee chats, had student meet-ups, teacher office hours, outside professionals as speakers, and finalized their semester with a virtual Academic Fair, where students created videos for most of their classes to exhibit their work to the community. They still managed to keep the fun alive while creating a rigorous curriculum online!
Best school for talented/gifted kids, who require a small school setting. So out of the box, self confidence building, feels like Family to the students and their families. This school does the magic. With great advanced electives, and a lot of hands on and real life learning, outdoors learning experiences and volunteering, dedicated teachers/ it is simply the perfect school for our son. Wish more schools would build their system upon Star Prep’s model.
STAR Prep Academy is an excellent school with a great sense of community and strong academics. The administration is friendly and supportive. Teachers care about each student, and small class sizes create a supportive learning environment. At STAR, students aren't afraid to speak up and ask questions.
One thing to note about STAR is its size. There are roughly fifty kids scattered across grades 6-12, so students may have a harder time finding like-minded peers. But the small size makes it much easier for students to bond with each other. At STAR, students can spend all day in classes with friends and teachers they've known for years.
