Clubs that I remember from this school were National Junior Honor Society, Guitar Club, Book Club, Drama (Theater), Scholastic Bowl and Student Council. There were many sports as well, such as Cross Country, Girls Volleyball, Soccer, Basketball, and Track and Field. These were run by teachers and staff members, and although they may not have gotten a large amount of funding, the funding was sufficient enough that the clubs and organizations continued to expand and grow. Commitment was expected but not taken seriously by many students. Sports were considered the more popular and fun options, although NJHS and Student Council likely offered the most benefits.

When I attended this school I felt safe. The only issues that were blatant to me were cleanliness and the lack of a school nurse. The school did have janitors that I saw regularly, but the school was older and never seemed to be cleaned well enough. Locker rooms and bathrooms were especially concerning and often had an awful odor. Other than that, the overall safety of the school was unconcerning and there were very few fights or threats during the time I was attending.
