Stanley County is a very small school. The high school has about 200+ students attending. While the community is very tight knit and it is very easy to feel welcomed the academics are lacking. When it comes to core subjects such as english, math, and science I believe this school has fallen very far behind. That does not mean that there are not good teachers there however. The fine arts department has excellent teachers as well as our current social studies teacher. Overall I would say it has been a good experience.

Stanley County High School is a very welcoming school. I moved my senior year and all of the teachers and students were very welcoming to me and my younger brother. It is a small enough school so everybody knows the whole school body which is also a plus. I would have to say that education wise it is lacking a bit, stuff that I should be taught during my senior year is not being taught.
The teachers at this school were fantastic. My english teacher went above and beyond to really make us think and broaden our thoughts. The quality of teachers were excellent. The had great teaching styles for the most part (most were engaging and involved). My teachers cared about me. I only went to this school my senior year and my teachers went out of their way to get to know me. I found that they were consistent graders and communicated effectively with all students.
