Stamford High has always felt like home to me. From the diverse population to the broad range of opportunities for all kinds of students, Stamford High School was an amazing experience. It was unpredictable, exciting, stressful, but memorable. As a graduating senior in the Class of 2020, I will always hold the memories of SHS and the friends I have met close to my heart.
I remember as a freshman, I was anxious and scared for the transition from middle school to high school (and I got so lost the first week). However, now I look back and think where all the time has gone. Mr. Manka is the best principle and he does such an amazing job at just doing his job! From the pink out football games to prom, and high school baseball... it's been real SHS.

In Stamford High, I've made some very positive connections and had an overall great experience. SHS gives students the chance to take as many AP's as wanted and participate in all kinds of clubs. I loved the music department at SHS since I'm part of Orchestra and Madrigals and I see how hard we work. I enjoy the teachers who have taken an interest in knowing about me and likewise. Places where SHS can improve on, is maybe better support for the music and art department, maintenance for the school, and perhaps more college-ready courses. But overall, my experience at SHS has been a very positive one and I'll surely miss this school once I graduate.
I really enjoyed my past 2 ap history courses. The teachers were engaging and really made me want to learn. I enjoyed the teachers in the english department as well as that is something I want to continue in the future learning. The school is clean. The security is very nice. I wish the math department would hire a couple newer teachers, or at least improve the way they teach Algebra 2 and pre-cal in the future. The athletics are enjoyable. In the past years, they have made strides to improve for the well-being of the athletes such as hiring a new agility trainer. I wished they would have kept the Student Athletic Counsel because I felt that gave athletes some power to improve their program. The clubs at this school really give their all to include people and use their voices.
