St. X has prepared me extremely well for the next phase of my life, college and beyond. I appreciate all the support given by the teachers and staff. They really care about the well-being and success of every student there. I also appreciate the emphasis the school places on the spirit of serving others. Coming from a very small middle school, then transitioning to a much larger high school like St. X was an initial concern for my parents, but when they saw how quickly I was able to adjust and then thrive, they were happy I had made the choice to attend St. X. Being someone with ADHD, my parents were also concerned about the level of support I would receive should I struggle academically. The intervention team at the school was extremely helpful in guiding me to the right support resources whenever I needed them. St. X still provides an environment that allows each student to find his own niche and group of close friends, despite its large student body. A great fit for me!

Helps prepare you for college and will help you academically. However, when it comes to emotionally, you're practically on your own when it comes to the giant workload that threatens to crush you by the second. Also, the diversity ranking should be around a "C" or maybe a "D". If you're a minority and want to come to diverse events, don't expect white students to show up!
St. Xavier High School has undoubtedly prepared me for college. The teachers are outstanding and are more than happy to help you along your learning journey. No matter which classes you choose, you will be challenged. But you will be challenged in a way that you will develop an unmatched work ethic that few schools could parallel. Although St. Xavier is one of the larger catholic schools/private schools, you will always find your place. There are an abundance of clubs to and activities to participate in, and your school experience is not complete without them. However, St. Xavier often lacks in recognizing diversity, and as a minority, I felt their resolutions often exacerbated the separation between minorities and white students. Mental health was not always discussed, but they are currently working towards making the environment more welcoming as this is an issue among all schools. All in all, St. Xavier is a very good school, and you will always appreciate your time here.
