Most people that rate SVA low are the ones that have a gripe because they didn't get their way OR they didn't put anything into it while here. Overall, my experience was very good. They aren't perfect, but what school is! Anyone that tells you their school is perfect must be getting their way 100% on something. There seems to be more parents and students thinking that they should be calling the shots. When they don't, they leave or bash us on some social media outlet (or Rate your School!). SVA works to be better and is willing to listen to us when we want something improved. They just don't always agree with us on how to do it. There are some teachers that are fantastic, some that are very good, some that are good and some that need a kick (not many)...

The school itself is beautiful, and it is very historical. It may have just been my class who had this problem, but the administration is not very good. They never tell the students everything, lied to the students on multiple occasions, and do not make good decisions. My science teacher was arrested and the school did little to nothing to help the students cope.
SVA provided me a safe place to be myself without the pressure of others. I was able to partake in lot of community service, sports, music/theater, all while receiving the best education. I was able to succeed and flourish at St. Vincents Academy, SVA HEY!
