I had an amazing experience at St. Vincent's in my four years attending there. Being an all girls Catholic high school, St. Vincent's offered many opportunities to both foster our education, and faith, through the principles of mercy education. The sisterhood at St. Vincent's is truly rooted through history and that is very prevalent in the school itself, with many of the staff being alumni of the school. The staff at St. Vincent's provide excellent learning opportunities and the smaller class sizes allow the teachers to give one on one help with students when needed. Aside from academics, St. Vincent's leans into the ideals of sisterhood and service through schoolwide events such as clean-up day and senior service projects. The school also puts on many fun events such as Spirit Day, Field Day, Pink Night, and more. I will always recommend St. Vincent's to people for their daughters and I will always treasure my time and memories made there.
I attended St. Vincent’s Academy for all four years of high school. Compared to other high schools it’s honestly an excellent school. They incredibly prepared me for college and got my into the college of my dreams. The only problem they have is the strictness and controlling nature of the administration. I’m convinced they want the best for us but they are often hypocritical and have their priorities out of whack. I don’t regret going to St. Vincent’s since I made excellent friendships that will last me a lifetime and plenty of confidence to continue my education. I do wish though that the administration would step back, reevaluate, and continue forward on a better path.
I loved the small size of the school. It allowed students to have more attention given by teachers when they needed assistance or were falling behind. They encouraged students to grow, succeed, and learn. As a school focused on preparation for college, most everyone was expected to go to college. Faculty also encouraged students, all of which were girls, to become "Women Who Lead," which is the school's motto. They taught us that women can excel in the world. I do wish, however, that the school had had more course and extracurricular opportunities.
