Ferrer offers a two year program for motivated and disciplined Juniors and Seniors who want to pursue a profession in medicine or science. As a freshman at Saint Vincent Ferrer High School, I have had many positive experiences. The teachers, my peers, the diversity of clubs, and the school environment have all contributed to my wonderful experiences at Ferrer. The teachers are always so willing and patient to help anyone, and the school environment being so welcoming has allowed me to make so many new friends! From sports, like the dance team I intend to join, to clubs, such as the Forensics club I joined, there are so many opportunities to make new friends with both lower and upperclassmen as well as to develop new interests. I have learned so much about forensics in this club, and I have grown in friendships just trying out for the dance club! I am also a peer tutor, which is another club at Ferrer that enables students to extend their knowledge to other students, who may be struggling with a certain subject. Overall, Saint Vincent Ferrer high school has allowed me to have many new and positive experiences!

Review St. Vincent Ferrer High School

I’ve had a great experience at Ferrer so far. Everyone is kind, welcoming, and understanding! I must highlight what drew my attention when applying to SVF, which are the clubs. I am one who is indecisive in what I want to pursue when I graduate, whether it will be political science or medicine, but the varieties of clubs have helped me get steps closer into deciding. I am part of Careers in Science and it taught me that I may work in public health or simply major in pre-med and complete a minor in political science. Model UN is another great club that I have joined since coming to SVF as it has not only improved my public speaking when doing practice debate rounds after school, expanded my knowledge on different countries, but it has formed many wonderful friendships I continue to value! There is really such a wide variety of clubs from philosophy, to women in business, to dance! It’s great!

I am an incoming sophomore at SVF. When applying to schools, it was not my first choice, and I was actually set to attend a different school. But my decision didn't sit right with me, so I decided to revisit SVF. I ended up loving the school! The community at SVF is what sets it apart. Everyone, wether it be students, parents, faculty, or staff, is concerned with making your experience welcoming. Teachers will give you studying techniques and materials to help you with not only their class, but other classes! The student council arranged ice cream socials, movie showings, and dances that made it easier to make friends.
