St.Vincent Ferrer Highschool has a very welcoming atmosphere. On my shadow day I truly could see myself spending the next four years there. St. Vincent has a nice group of faculty who make themselves available for whenever you need the extra help. They also encourage you to come after school, see them during a free period or email them which makes you less afraid to come to them for help. The school has many clubs and a strong athletic department. However, some of clubs do lack a regular meeting schedule which I wish would improve. As far as food the breakfast is better than the lunch options and I would say the prices could go down a bit. For lunch the food is not all that great and I wish they had more diverse options. For example the only chicken is tenders, nuggets, chicken salad or chicken parm. A more diverse menu could offer things like baked chicken, fried maybe chicken with some kind of sauce. Overall, St. Vincnet is a great school that offers honors and Ap courses.

In the past three years, Saint Vincent Ferrer High School has become home to me. Saint Vincent Ferrer is an all-girls, private high school in New York City. My school has a wide range of college preparatory courses and highly experienced teachers. These teachers encourage their students to be the best version of themselves inside the school and in the community. Students are required to volunteer at non-profit organizations for at least 40 hours per year. This has allowed me to branch out and help people of all age groups. The clubs and sports teams at Saint Vincent Ferrer bring the school community together as a whole and create outstanding friendships. I have been part of my schools varsity cheerleading team for two years now and my teammates feel like the sisters I never had. I personally would not change anything about Saint Vincent Ferrer High School. My school is the epitome of a safe, well rounded school for girls entering high school.
Access to College prep/ap courses are very important to our child's educational future. However areas were St. Vincent falls short is mainly due to its lack of available space. At $9,600 per year these basic things should be offered as they are at other comparable HS's.

No on site library- no affiliation with any NYC Public library to compensate is a concern
No research computers for students to access as needed.
    Very small gym- no bleachers
No auditorium (the cafeteria doubles as the auditorium)
No microwave for lunch (only one and it is reserved for Seniors)
Small school for about 500+ students. Small lockers as well.
Large classes 25 - 30 students on average per class
    No dedicated space for study.
Students are not given the opportunity to learn to play instruments
    No technology based classes
I feel truly feel that is not for the lack of space that this school would be able to afford these basic things that most other HS's offer.
