From St. Timothy's School

St. Timothy’s School students are known as self-possessed young women of intellectual curiosity, independent mindsets, expansive worldviews, and strong-but-empathetic voices.

They’re comfortable with rigor, studying in the world-renowned International Baccalaureate (IB) program. Students are known and supported here by inspiring teachers who understand their individual talents and learning styles.

Classes meet around seminar tables, in cutting-edge science and innovation labs, and in the new Five Arts and Student Center. Located 1 hour from Washington, DC and commutable to NYC, learning also happens beyond the classroom—at cultural institutions, policy centers, and historic sites.

Through a formal student life curriculum centered on health and wellness, students come to understand the importance of making healthy choices.

St. Timothy’s girls are fearless in their pursuit of knowledge—confident problem-solvers who are highly valued by the nation’s finest colleges and universities.

Winterim: Our Signature Learning Experience

academic spotlight

For the two weeks before spring break, we test what we've learned in the classroom by bringing students out into the wider world. Our location in one of the world's most dynamic regions becomes an invaluable learning resource as we visit historic sites and institutions influencing culture and thought. Hands-on experiences and access to thought leaders help us test assumptions on the front lines.
