We came from a public school. It wasn't the worst. But the teachers at St.Thomas More show that their job is a calling. They only make peanuts compared to their public school counterparts, yet exude more joy and willingness to serve a student that many of the higher paid teachers I've known. All of my son's teachers have used various tactics to meet his needs and always understanding if there is something out of the ordinary going on. One of his teachers used to call when he was sick just to check on him and say the class prayed for him. What a blessing!
I absolutely LOVE this school. It's been such a blessing to our family. I love that my son learns, plays and worships with his friends. The class sizes are small enough that students get individual attention and are encouraged by their teachers. St. Thomas More is full of people who believe in the value of Catholic education, promote their Catholic faith, and believe in being present for each other. This is evident in the student body, the faculty and the parent community.
I've always felt 100% secure about my son attending school. I know the teachers, principal, lunch staff, front office staff and school nurse always have his best in mind. I feel like St. Thomas More is my son's home away from home. I never, ever worry about him. The kids are very kind to one another. Sure, there are the usual interpersonal flare-ups, but nothing that grips the culture to produce a negative environment.
