STM has one of the best education you can get from a high school in Lafayette, hands down! Most of the teachers are amazing, friendly, and engaging. St. Thomas More's academic standards are set very high that prepares you for college and beyond. I've had a very positive experience however there is one major drawback.

The main drawback, in my HONEST opinion, is that the religion classes are a waste of time. (Most students would agree.) Looking back on those religion classes now after I graduated a few years ago, most of the knowledge and teachings are not relevant after you graduate this high school. (I still consider myself a Catholic though.)

There is no way around it, you have to take the religion courses every semester of every year in all 4 years of your time in STM in order to graduate. I understand it is a Catholic school, but I much rather make the religion courses at least a 2 or 3 year requirement like PE and take other courses that might be a little more useful.

I absolutely love Saint Thomas More. It has been my home for the past four years, and I could not have been happier anywhere else. My favorite thing about STM is the the amount of clubs you can get involved in. Although I am not athletic or play any sports, I was able to find many activities and clubs to get involved in. I also loved all of my teachers over here. Our teachers are very dedicated to the needs of each individual student. I would not change one thing.
My experience at St. Thomas More High School (STM) was always a good one; the teachers were always supportive and kind and students always involved. This school gave me multiple opportunities to explore who I am as a person through different clubs, teams, and even academics. I learned many valuable life lessons by being at this school and felt nothing less than absolute love from the STM community. This school is one that all would recommend because we have top facilities, top academics, top advisors, top athletics, etc.
