In the Honors/AP track, my son has had exceptional teachers who are not only well qualified to teach their subjects, but are also engaging and committed to their students. I believe he has received an outstanding education at STM. The school has a well-deserved reputation for athletic excellence which can make sporting events lots of fun, but which can also be a little intimidating if you are not a student athlete. It can take a while to find a group of like-minded students, but I think that everyone can find their group if they persist. The school has some phenomenal facilities, including an impressive robotics lab. STM's campus ministry strives hard to keep its students focused on what is most important in life and the school's weekly Masses almost always include homilies that help students maintain this focus of becoming God's servant first.

St. Thomas More was the best decision I could have made for my high school career. I love everything about it. The academics are above average and I feel prepared to enter college and begin my studies. The faith formation is also one of the things that I love about the school. Our Campus Ministry program is arguably the best in the nation as we host 6 retreats annually, and many faith formation events throughout the year. The community is as close as it can be. The faculty is incredible and care about the students. It's a great school and I would recommend it to anyone.
STM has one of the best education you can get from a high school in Lafayette, hands down! Most of the teachers are amazing, friendly, and engaging. St. Thomas More's academic standards are set very high that prepares you for college and beyond. I've had a very positive experience however there is one major drawback.

The main drawback, in my HONEST opinion, is that the religion classes are a waste of time. (Most students would agree.) Looking back on those religion classes now after I graduated a few years ago, most of the knowledge and teachings are not relevant after you graduate this high school. (I still consider myself a Catholic though.)

There is no way around it, you have to take the religion courses every semester of every year in all 4 years of your time in STM in order to graduate. I understand it is a Catholic school, but I much rather make the religion courses at least a 2 or 3 year requirement like PE and take other courses that might be a little more useful.
