St. Teresa's Academy Reviews

As a transfer student, I felt exceptionally welcomed by both the student body and the faculty upon my arrival. This is a school that truly embodies the concept of "sisterhood," as we stand as a single-sex, all-female institution that regards camaraderie above all. The academics are outstanding, and I greatly appreciate the amount of theatrical funding we receive (Which, as a student actress myself, I know is not something many private schools can typically say). However because we are located in Kansas City, which is extremely sociologically and economically segregated, and it costs thousands of dollars to attend, we greatly lack diversity. I would like to see even more scholarships, grants, and other opportunities for work study given to the bright and underprivileged young women of my city so that they may attend.

I love St. Teresa's Academy because it has been my home for me to grow. All my teachers and classmates have helped me grow into the strong, independent woman I consider myself today. I have found life long friends, and learned life long tools and knowledge. I have never felt more prepared for my future. I love how accepting and close the entire community is. Everyone around wants to do their best, and help support others to do their best. My overall experience with St. Teresa's Academy has been one of the best experiences of my life that I will always remember and cherish. The school has done so many wonderful things for me through their support and outstanding education, and I will be forever grateful.
I loved my teachers and the amount of help they were always willing to give. They care about there students both in that class and as a person. St. Teresa's offers many different extracurricular activities ranging from sports to the arts. They have club days that give everyone a chance to get involved in something they care about without missing out on other things. The school gives everyone an "advisory" which is similar to a homeroom. Students check in/out during the morning and afternoons. In the middle of the day they go their for announcements. Advisories are made up of a teacher and around 4-6 girls from every grade. This gives students a great chance to get to know more people as well as interact with students that are older or younger than them. Advisories can have parties and order in food as well as do other fun things during their time. They have Halloween, Thanksgiving, and Christmas parties and are a really special part of the St. Teresa's experience.
