From St. Stephen's Episcopal School

St. Stephen's is the launching point to a million possibilities. Students who are looking for more out of life excel here. Every day we work hard to provide a stimulating college preparatory experience. But while the academics are challenging, the atmosphere is casual, friendly and supportive.

Our students make global connections every day. Sitting in class -- and doing the many things outside the classroom -- are students from all over Texas, the United States and the world. Living and learning on campus allows our students to have the experience of a lifetime and prepare them for a lifetime of experience.

Our students respect each other’s diverse cultures and perspectives. They accept classmates no matter what they believe in, where they come from, what they look like or what they aspire to become in the future.

When you decide to attend St. Stephen's, you are making the decision to pursue your dreams, to achieve excellence and to become the best version of yourself.

St. Stephen's Episcopal School has made me feel more than ready to go to college. My writing has improved tremendously since I arrived in 9th grade because of the extensive amount of in-class essays we are required to write. The in-class essays in history were not the only things that improved my writing, though. I improved through writing essays over books we have read in English and through research papers as well. Additionally, the science department offers a multitude of extra classes for students to take (environmental science, advanced chemistry, advanced biology, astrophysics, advanced physics, and geology), which allows students to better explore their passions. Lastly, the facilities at St. Stephen's are incredible. The weight room is very useful to every type of sport, and the trainers are always ready to help. Overall, my experience at St. Stephen's has been very beneficial to me, and I will always remember the lessons I learned there.

The best school in Austin. One of the best in the state. Fantastic teachers, small classes, collaborative environment. The school offers all kinds of extras: trips to West Texas for archeological digs, aid trips to Haiti, language immersion trips, independent study, and many others. The teachers take a deep level of interest in the students and the English and language programs are outstanding. Diversity in all areas is supported - it’s not just lip service! My daughter had an incredible experience at St. Stephen’s.
I am a senior a Saint Stephen's currently. I've gone to St. Stephen's since seventh grade it's been an amazing experience. The hilltop is BEAUTIFUL on a sunny day. Definitely feels like college in that the teachers are not going to baby you and you are expected to do your work. Academics are HARD here and the school will definitely mold you into becoming a hard worker. Most of the clubs at St. Stephen's feel a little too much like "college resume builders" in that those clubs don't really do anything, but of course there are exceptions. Sports teams are okay, but there can be drama. If you want to dabble and try something new or really be involved in a fine art there are plenty of opportunities to do that. Like most Texas private schools, the diversity needs a little work, but they are acknowledging that. Lastly, the food is pretty good for cafeteria food. But I definitely enjoyed my experience at St. Stephen's.
