I had a wonderful experience at SSSAS. I started attending the school in 2007 and graduated in 2016 and loved every moment of it. It is easy to get involved in club, sports, the arts, and more. Students are able to build great relationships not only with each other, but also with the faculty and staff. The challenging academics well prepared me for the college life and I could never be more grateful. Go Saints!

The main thing I like about this school is the faculty. The teachers are so passionate about what they do and will meet with you whenever you are available. Also, the class sizes are small so you get a lot of individual attention and help. However, I do not give it five stars because of the social scene. If you can't find your group or click, then you will feel like an outsider. While there are some people that are super nice to everyone, it's pretty much like if you drink you are with the popular, lacrosse people and if you don't drink you are an outsider. But, like I said, if you find your group of friends then you will be fine. There are a lot more liberal people than you think for a private, Christian school. There are theater kids and nerdy, engineering kids and social justice and sportsy kids. It's all about finding where you fit in.
SSSAS has a good curriculum and great sports, but the teachers are very inflexible in their teaching approaches. The administration caters to a certain class of country club students and their approach is very old-fashioned. There is nothing global or multicultural about this school. The teachers are unaware of different learning styles and the new world. It is worth driving across the bridge to DC to Sidwell or St. Albans if you are going to invest in private school.
