I'ma Freshman just starting at PVI. I think PVI has an amazing oppurtunity's for everyone out there and has amazing college prep materials. I also think PVI's community is spectacular for the most part I mean some of my best friends are seniors, that is partially due to theater but also because of PVI's welcoming and loving community. Some things I do have to say, the arts definitley need more funding I mean the basketball team went to Loundon and we're barely able to affor mics and costumes, theater departement has to use leftover peices of set from previous shows, and paint over them for the new shows. I think that if theater could just get a little more money it would be an amazing difference, well that and I a little more hype/publicity. Overall I think most of the teachers are great and are just pushing us to be the best we can be, I think it's amazing college prep, I think the inclusivity here in fanominal, I think that the theater departement is amazing, and It's a good school!
I really enjoy the overall energy of PVI. Everyone is friendly and respectful, and you just feel like you’re welcome everywhere. The classes had the perfect amount of rigor, and the teachers were always available for a chat. That’s is one thing in particular I appreciate. At my old school there was no such relationship with our teachers. Here, you can email your teachers as well as asking during or after class. This was the case for a large percent of my classes. I hope this helps anyone looking into PVI!
PVI is pretty great! I love this school's commitment to the Catholic faith and its dedication to giving its students the best education possible. Theology class here is one of my favorites, and I've loved learning about different aspects of my faith. Every senior here writes an essay on apologetics for theology class, and I can't wait to do that next year. PVI promotes Catholicism without feeling condescending or preachy in any way, and I have tons of friends who aren't Catholic and still love going to school here. I definitely recommend Paul VI!
