What I liked about the St. Paul High School was that every teacher knew you by name due to the small numbers. It wasn't to large, so everyone was friends with each other. Recently we have opened up open lunch for juniors and seniors which was fantastic because students could get a larger lunch to fill themselves, giving them more energy. We also recently switched to fourdays a week. This change has been my favorite because not only does it save the school money, it gives students more time to catch up on sleep or go to appointments without missing school. There is nothing I'd like to see changed at my school.
Some teachers will modify the work for students with a para. Some let the para do it, others don't shorten assignments at all. Some teachers take time to explain things, others don't. I feel we are very lucky to have our paras. I feel like they care about us when some teachers don't. Some teachers just seen to want to help the smart kids. I think we are lucky to have band and chorus.
Anyone that goes out for a sport will make the team, but only the best players get to play. You can join FBLA, FFA, STAND if you want. They aren't any after school programs for students needing extra help but teachers are willing to stay and help if you need it.
