St. Michael's Academy Elementary School Reviews
Rating 4.33 out of 5 3 reviews
I like that the school is diverse and very clean they did excellent during covid. Uniforms where I slight bit mor expensive than expected but they do last depend on how your child grows. My child does have a little issue with school lunch although it's not bad, culturally our food is just different, so I suggest giving your kid lunch from home, if possible, maybe twice a week to get them comfortable. all the teachers even the ones that are not interactive with my child do to grade differences, still know her and that stood out. GO SMA!
3 words for 6th and 7th graders: Science class sucks. Teachers pretty much yell all day pretty average. Science teacher is very racist would recommend skipping 6th and 7th grade here. Unless the science teacher changes. The lunch is pretty awful. When it comes to learning this school is better than most Springfield Elementary Schools. They have quite a lot of activities such as chess club, girls on the run, book club, choir, and student council. Let me just say that there is no such thing as a real "playground". They only have a small area with a slide for preschoolers. We legit play in a parking lot. They say it's because of Church reasons.Oh right we have to pay around $4,000- $5,000 per person to come here. However they do offer scholarships sometimes. It depends on funding.
To respond to the last review, the school is 10 times better then the near by public schools. The food isn't great but it is better then the public schools. I think that you don't learn enough new things each year but I'm above average and they take time on the work so that you actually learn it. I rated the sports terrible because they, like most elementary schools, have no sports. About half the school is white and the rest is all other races. It is fairly diverse. I rated the parent involvement poor because I feel in some ways there is too much (helicopter moms) and others too little (ignorant parents.) The playground is just a blacktop but I don't think that it is that bad. I don't think people would like swings that much more.
