Hello,
I am an alumni of this school and I attended from 2016-2020. There is a lot and I mean A LOT I could say about the school, but I will keep it succinct. The school was founded with a vision to have a Catholic high school in the Fredericksburg area. It has a lot of ups and downs. The student body is small, only getting smaller over the years though it has a good amount of land available for development. It has a lot of sport facilities however it lacks in the quality of education you would expect from a private school. The Catholic culture is present, weekly Mass is held, and theological classes are taught, though the spirit of the school varies from year to year. Some of the teachers were fun, interesting, and very dedicated people. The others were weird, unprofessional, and pretty bad. The administration of the school varied wildly, being the biggest cause of scandal and the main reason why the student body shrank.
The school has gotten better in earnest, but still not great.

St. Mikes is like a family! It's a small school, but with that comes life long friends, a great education with teachers who care about you, and the ability to try lots of sports. Thanks to St. Michael's college prep education, my freshmen year of college was a breeze because I was use to the workload already.
My son graduated in May of 2021. He transferred in after his sophomore year from a public high school. It was the best decision we ever made. He loves the school, his teachers and the environment. He played football and earned a scholarship to college. We thank the administration, his teachers and coaches for providing him with a life changing opportunity. God bless Saint Michael the Archangel Catholic High School.
