    From St. Michael Lutheran School

    During the last 38 years, the corner of Hannan and Glenwood in Wayne, MI. has hosted a variety of Preschool to eighth grade students. This year we have 96 students in classrooms from Preschool to seventh and eighth grade. Every family comes searching for something! Like the four main characters in the Wizard of Oz, we centered our purpose for existing around answering the four questions they are seeking to have answered.
    The Scarecrow is searching for a Brain! We provide a quality academic program that prepares student for the next step in their education. Two of our graduates are currently at the Air Force Academy and one of our alumni was just named a National Merit Finalist.
    The Tin Man was searching for a Heart! We provide opportunities for service to the church, community and world.
    The Lion was searching for Courage! Our religion curriculum prepares students to courageously defend their faith.
    Dorothy was searching for Home! We daily remind students, heaven is our home.

    Music Education

    Every student in grades K-4 has a required weekly Music Class. In addition, our children monthly are in choirs that sing at church. Our three choirs are grades 6-8, 4-5 and PS -3. In addition fifth grades are required to be in Beginning Band. Our 6-8 grade students have the opportunity to be in Varsity Band. Our Varsity Band and choir compete in annual festivals.

      I have had both my children in 3rd and 5th grade attending St. Michael's. We have been very blessed through the experience that we have had there. From the principal, who meets all the kids as they go into school every morning, to all the teaching and support staff we feel very welcome and safe to send our children to school there. The care and compassion shown by the teachers as well as the academic instruction is great and would recommend it to anyone who is looking for smaller class sizes, more interaction with teachers/peers and good Christian education. Thanks again St. Michael's!!!

      St. Mike’s provides a safe, loving environment to grow physically, mentally, emotionally, and spiritually!
      We have been at St. Michael Lutheran for 3 years now. We love the teachers, principal, pastor and secretaries they are all so welcoming and have just welcomed us into the school family. We have been impressed with the individual attention our children have received and progress they have made well attending here.
