My experience at St. Mary's Academy has been an adventure. With the help of friends and teachers I've come to know more about myself. I love how our teachers and even our curriculum have put myself and other students into circumstances where we had to reach to one another for help. By consistently being forced to work in pairs or in groups, I've developed lasting relationships with fellow classmates. The environment was for the most part family like and friendly. I'd like to see the school, however, improve or upgrade where our extracurricular activities are concerned.

I have been attending St. Mary's Academy for the past four to five years, and I love it. (I'm currently a "Rising" senior.)

St. Mary's Academy is a home away from home. The administration, teachers, and academic counselors all care for your well-being and wish for nothing but your success. Fellow students uplift you and push you to do better and dream bigger. Over the years, you become a family. You become sisters for a lifetime.

My only complaint is that I wish we had more food options. Hopefully, that will be fixed after I graduate for the younger ones.
Sma academics are terrible. Only a few teachers prepare you for college. I feel as though they focus too much on the color of headbands, then the well being and academics of the school and students. They need to give the state scholarships to students who deserve and need them. Money management is poor, They don't give enough notice when money is due and expect you to pay in less than a week. Overall, the students are never in check, they get away with disrespect and fighting, but if you have a black headband, nail polish on, or if your skirt is a 1/2 an inch too short you are reprimanded. They tell us to embrace our black culture but forbid us to wear bantu knots, beads and rings. These are all apart of our culture but we are not allowed to wear these styles. The administration demands respect but does not give any in return. They speak recklessly and out of term.
